Check an AI answer before you use it
A fluent answer can contain a wrong date, an unsupported claim or a source that does not say what the answer suggests. Check the parts that would affect your decision. The assistant can help organise those checks, but its own assurance is not independent evidence.
A prompt to adapt
Compare this draft with the source text below. Make a table with the claim, the source passage that supports it, and anything that needs checking. If the source does not support a claim, say so. Do not invent quotations or links. Draft: [draft]. Source: [source text].
How to approach it
- Identify the claims you would rely on: names, dates, amounts, quotations and instructions. Separate factual claims from suggestions or opinions.
- Return to the original document or an appropriate primary source. Open any cited link yourself and check whether it supports the exact claim, not just the general topic.
- Recalculate important totals and check units or date formats. For proposed code, use a safe test environment and inspect the result.
- Ask for a correction using the evidence you found. Read the revised answer again, because a correction can change other details too.
A practical example
If an answer says a notice applies from a certain date, compare that date with the original notice and check whether a later notice replaced it. If you only supplied an older document, ask for an answer limited to that document and its date.
MaxAI.bd cannot browse current websites or independently certify a source. Asking it to “double-check” does not establish that a fact, quotation or link is correct.
